The Lamest, Stupidest, Waste of Time and Money

Cell PhonesI keep seeing these cell phone “text to win” commercials on cable TV the last few months and I dispise them so much they are making me really angry. Do people actually do these? They appear to cost around $1.99 each and they typically go like this, “Text Game A or Game B to 75643 to be entered to win a 50″ Plasma TV or tickets to the biggest pro football game of the year”. Or some variation of this. Typically they have some rail-thin model wearing a cheerleading outfit trying to entice you to text and enter. What really bugs me about these is that you can tell they are trying to entice teenagers and college kids. The exact people that are still learning about good financial decisions. The people behind these ads are scum and in my opinion belong with the likes of ambulance chasing lawyers and Internet spammers.
