Carnival Of Personal Finance #118: Don’t Stalk The Jones’
You may just be stalking the wrong family …
Thanks to Money, Matter, and More Musings for hosting this week’s Carnival of Personal Finance #118. A ton of good stuff here by some talented bloggers. I was honored to have my post 10 Ways To Ruin Your Financial Security included in this edition. Here are some that I found particularly entertaining or interesting.
- Go a Little Easier on Yourself was submitted by Blunt Money. I have got to stop being so hard on myself when I go over budget. Time to put the electrodes and car battery back in the garage.
- One of my favorite bloggers, Clever Dude, had an eye opening article titled Talking Money with My Teenage Cousins. This is why I have enrolled my kindergartner in a finance class at out local junior college.
- Frugal Law Student wrote a very useful article Save over $1440 A Year By Brown Bagging It. Word of warning, if you try this, make sure you get the eye holes lined up correctly.
- Canadian Financial Stuff has a great article How do you Retire With Kids at Home? I think once my kids leave the home I will move our empty nest so they cannot find it.
- Fiscal Musings had a nice post about a fun and inexpensive outing to McDonalds, titled The Golden Arches Experience. My last golden arches experience left me with the latest Sports Illustrated and a few quiet moments.
- This one needs no explanation…11 Money Tips For College Students by Saving With Me. Should be handed out at freshmen orientation.
- Finally, check out Which Jones Family Are You Trying To Keep Up With? by My Two Dollars. You may just be stalking the wrong family.
Sometimes humor is the best medicine. Check out the entire list for some great reading when you have a day or three.
