Good Sunday Reading

September 23rd, 2007 by Kyle

CoffeeI stumbled across some great reading this past week that I wanted to share. So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy. Also, I am on the lookout for guest bloggers after the success of PaidTwice writing the great post Use Psychology to your Advantage when Saving and Spending Money for me. Just drop me a line if you are interested.

  • Trent at The Simple Dollar has a great post detailing Fifteen Ideas For A Deeply Fulfilling Money Free Weekend. If you can just do 2 or 3 of these tips you will have a great weekend. I like his list because many of these tips involve getting out and helping others.
  • Mrs. Micah has a post that made a lot of sense about using things around the house in place of heading to the store. Article is called Shopping at home for fun and savings! Great frugal living advice.
  • Staying on the theme of free things to do this weekend, check out Saving Advice.com, Meredith Kaiser wrote a very clever article Romance Is Free. She details six free things that can re-sparkle the romance in your life. Try one this weekend!
  • Brip Blap wrote a post this week titled Illuminating Life that I enjoyed. In it he discusses the benefits of enjoying the little things in life. Things like turning off the TV when eating dinner and replacing it with some soothing music. He makes the point that an expensive meal “eaten on a TV tray while watching the last 15 minutes of Wheel of Fortune” is not getting the most out of your life. Good Stuff.
  • Any procrastinators out there? J.D. at Get Rich Slowly wrote a nice post discussing How to Beat the Procrastination Habit. Some pretty original tips and worth a look. I know you may not get to it this week though and that is O.K.!
