Holy Crap…I Want to Throw My Computer Out The Window

November 5, 2007 · Filed Under · 5 Comments

ComputersSo, if you are one of the 5 people that visit my site regularly, you noticed that I was out of commission this weekend and most of today. Apparently my hosting company decided to do a huge server migration over to some new state of the art system. It was suppose to only take a few hours in the wee hours Saturday morning. HA!! They claim to hit some major server issues and they are still down as I write this post. Finally, I got sick of their lies and B.S. and I actually switched to a new hosting company this morning. I decided to pay a little more (one of those things where it is worth it to pay a little extra) and they are really first class and helped get my site up in no time. Sort of anyways, it seems I lost a bunch of comments on this blog that I may have to add manually.

The irony of the whole thing was my old hosting company was doing this migration so they would have less downtime!! At over 99% uptime, it will take 8,654 days to make up for the downtime I experienced. Oh well, what are you going to do except move on.

Well, the good news is that your site still looks good. Sorry about the hosting thing–I didn’t actually notice because I spent all weekend moving to a host myself. Best of luck with these new people!

I really enjoy your blog – when you disappeared I was afraid you were gone forever. Glad you’re back.

Thanks all for welcoming me back! So glad I ended up switching hosting companies as my old host is still having isssues, going on 4 days down. Wow, that is not good for business! I was afraid that I would switch companies and then they would fix their issues and I would be out the set-up fee and first month ($44 total) with the new company. Glad it did not work out that way!

Good move to switch to the new host.

I think you have more than five people visiting your site!
