Here's the best reason. Heard yesterday that folks who work 1/2 time at Starbucks still get full benefits: Pension and insurance. Sweet. Where do I send my resume?

Thanks for contributing this post to this week’s Carnival of Family Life, hosted at <a href="http://www.achildchosen.com" rel="nofollow">A Child Chosen</a>.
SavingDiva, I can see it on the bookshelf now, 'Snobs at Starbucks: The End Of Western Civilization'. Buy now for only $29.99, which includes a $10 gift card for Maxwell House.

#1 reason I would love to work at Starbucks, the customers! I don't drink coffee, but I occassionaly have a tea before I go to my second job (in the same building)....and I see people just going crazy about orders and then about how the coffee isn't brewed correctly. I could write an excellent book about the deterioration of manners in america! ;)

Andrew, yeah I can't handle the bitterness either. That is why I am thinking the toe java might taste better, especially if you wear wool socks, it might filter it a bit!

MM, agree, mean people suck. Whenever you work with public you run into abusive customers. When I worked at The Home Depot I had some customers that I wanted to choke with my orange apron.

I'd be worried about abusive customers, I guess. But I wouldn't mind working at one if I needed a job. And those are some pretty fun reasons. :)

Hah! Nice list, Kyle! Personally I'm not a fan of Starbucks. Not just cause of the crazy high prices or the fact they have to be different and use venti and grande (I still refuse to say those when I order)... but the coffee itself is just too bitter for my taste.

But toe java? Really? Bleargh.
