Great post today Kyle! This time of year when the sun is out but there's still snow everywhere I start to get cabin fever and want to order everything in the plant catalogs that show up at my house.

I love spring too! Definitely my favorite season.

I don't have a green thumb either, bit I am learning as I go. Check out that Bankrate link, I really was impressed with their advice.

Thanks for this!
I really want to start a garden-I think it would be frugal AND something fun for the kids to get involved with.
The problem is I haven't a green a thumb, so these links maybe will help me out a bit!

It was actually HOT here yesterday! The kids could play outside without a ton of coats and hats on! I love spring!

Take Care

Thanks for the links! I'm wanting to plant a small garden this year too! Now to decide what to grow. I've already got strawberries, and tomatoes are a must....

We had the windows open today too. And I took a walk with my son. I am so enjoying the spring-like weather. I hope it sticks around!

JvW, sooooo sorry to hear that! Although my kids would love to play in the snow, 7 degrees is harsh.

Thanks for the tip. I drink so much coffee I could keep the slugs off every plant on our street. And yes, salt and snails provided hours of entertainment when I was a kid!!

I am so jealous of you. We are getting another 6 inches of snow tomorrow and tonight it's supposed to be 7 degrees. You are 10x as warm!

My garden tip is to use coffee grounds mixed with broken egg shells to keep slugs off your plants. Just sprinkle around the edge of your garden. The slugs like to eat my lilies and this keeps them away. (Although killing them with salt is fun too!)
