I am a sale shopper, thru and thru. But, I make a list at the beginning of the year of everyone I need to buy for ( birthdays, Christmas, weddings, etc ). Obviously, I miss people sometimes…of my friends get invited to more birthday parties than anticipated…BUT, I have that list on me at all times.
When I hit a 75% off sale, I pull it out and match up. Then, I ONLY buy what I need to complete my list.
It helps keep me from going overboard on sales, but also ensuring I get everything I need for the year at discounted prices.
Of course, this doesn’t take me into account. I, unfortunately, don’t buy myself stuff very often. Too tight, I guess.

Mrs. Micah, glad I am not the only one! I need more than 30 seconds. 5 or 10 minutes usually gets my mind in another direction.

Oh yeah, I definitely hear that voice. Most of the time the 30 second rule helps.
