Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts That Are 100% Off

toilet.jpgIf you are a procrastinator like me, you may not have an actual gift for Mom yet. Don’t worry I won’t say anything, and it’s not too late to do something kinda special. It’s with this in mind that I came up with a few completely free gifts for Mom. I saw an add the other day for free kittens that read “beautiful kittens on clearance, 100% off”. It made me laugh out loud! So here is my list of gifts for Mom that are 100% off:

  • Show up at Mom’s house and be her indentured servant for a few hours. Laundry, weeds, VCR blinking 12 noon, toilets, they all need tending!
  • If you don’t live in the same town, call her on Sunday and serenade her. Memorize one her favorite songs and tell her how much she means to you.
  • Free Mother’s Day Card. It is probably too late to get a card in the mail for Mom. So your best option at this point is to Google, ‘Free Mother’s Day Card’, and you can email Mom an original card.

What did I miss? ”Hit me with your best shot, fire away.” (Also my Mom’s favorite song, that could be weird over the phone)

    Ah yes, indentured servitude. I’m making my mom an “ear pillow”….a pillow with a hole for her ear. It’s what she wants….so yeah. Apparently the makeshift one she’s got right now helps her sleep better.

    Of course, the famous ear pillow! I need one with a hole for my big schnoze. For those not familiar with that word, straight from the urban dictionary:

    Schnoze

    A very big or long nose. Usually used as an insult.
    “That man nose is big as hell” man1
    “I know right, he got a schnoze” man2

    How ’bout some homemade cookies, banana bread, etc. and mixed CD w/ either her favorite songs or some new ones you’d like to share. Add in some flowers from your garden (or your neighbors if you can’t grow flowers) and a handmade card and you’re all set!

    DJ FuzzyK, how could I forget about baked goods, great idea! I love the music mix as well, my kids and I actually put one together for my wife a couple days ago for Sunday.

    Or have your kids do up a play for her :P Or a magic show. Just have fun and games! Have the whole family playing fun games. I’d enjoy that :P

    Great list – I also suggested spending some time listening to your mother talk about the “old time”. Which is what I thought Mrs. Micah was getting at with the “ear pillow”…but anyways – might be painful for the giver but Mom will love it! :)
