Yes, I am still alive! Wow, I can’t believe it has been over a month since I last blogged. I need to get back on the blogging train.

I have some travel sites I wanted to share today. We are coming up on the time of year where many families are starting to price summer vacations and hotel deals. This should be a great summer to find some real travel deals. With the down economy, always assume that you can negotiate hotel rates and make sure to shop around on the Internet for the best rate. Here are a few websites to check out:

  • Check out Quick Book.com- Many have never heard of them. Give them a try, I have had success finding great hotel deals with them. Quick Books was originally set up for the business traveler and it allows you to get corporate rates on hotels. Worth a look!
  • Also try Hotwire.com and Priceline.com – If you have some flexibility on the type of hotel are looking for, and are not loyal to any one hotel chain, both of these sites can find you some great deals.
  • Don’t forget to check Trip Advisor.com – This site has an amazing collection of user reviews for almost every hotel in the known world. Let’s you quickly search your prospective hotels and make sure they are not flea bags.

Bottom-line is that the hotel business is in the toilet right now, so it is time to MAKE A DEAL!  Shop around and you will save a lot of money.
