When shopping in-store, my favorite way to save is to look for yellow price tags with a price ending in 6 (.06, .86, etc.) or 3 (.63, .03, etc).
I was told by a former Home Depot employee that these signify clearance prices and are the best deals in the warehouse. A price ending in 6 means that in six weeks the product will get marked down again to 3, then after 3 weeks the item will be liquidated from the warehouse.
For additional savings, Home Depot.com offers a rebate center with a searchable directory of hundreds of rebates and a discount department with savings in every category where you can get great bargains on overstocks.
When shopping online, you’ll enter your Home Depot coupon code in the middle of the “shopping cart” page of their website.
The box for the code is labeled as “coupon code”. Always make sure your discount is reflected in your order before you finalize your checkout.
