Wouldn’t it be nice if retailers would give you a price match on a Black Friday price? Think of how much you could save. Oh wait, turns out these 9 retailers will do exactly that and give you a price adjustment as long as you still have proof of purchase. Some of these stores just might surprise you. I hope this information helps you save some money this Black Friday.

Target

By far the most popular store on this list is Target and I was a bit surprised to learn they would do Black Friday price adjustments this year.

According to their official policy, if you buy anything labelled a “Black Friday deal”, either in-store or online, you can request a price match if the price goes lower on or before December 24th.

Be sure to keep your receipt or packing slip (for online purchases) as evidence of the price you paid.

For an online price match, you’ll need to call them at 1-800-591-3869.

For in-store price matches, just head back to the store with your receipt in-hand and head to any checkout lane for assistance.

NewEgg

NewEgg has a REALLY cool policy they call “Black Friday Price Protection”.

If you buy something from NewEgg between November 1 – 21, 2021 that has the badge that reads “Black Friday Price Protection” you’re in business if the price goes lower on or before November 30th, 2021.

The best part is that NewEgg will actually track the price and refund you automatically if it goes lower.

Expect your refund to be processed by December 6th, 2021.

Dick’s Sporting Goods

There is ZERO mention of not being able to price match Black Friday pricing on Dick’s price-match page.

As long as the product is identical, they’ll match the lower price.

So if you buy something at Dick’s, or another major retailer, and it goes on sale over Black Friday weekend they’ll give you a price adjustment.

Make sure you keep your receipt to make it an easy process.

Bass Pro Shops

Bass Pro Shop will “not be undersold” and this includes on Black Friday.

If the price drops on something you bought from a competitor, or on the Bass Pro website, they’ll give you the difference, both in-store and online.

CLUB members will even get an extra 5% back on their price match.

Cabela’s

Bass Pro and Cabela’s are owned by the same company, so guess what, their price match policies are identical.

So be sure to get some money back if they drop the price during Black Friday on something you’ve already purchased.

Also, they’ll match direct competitor’s pricing on Black Friday as well.

Lowe’s

The Lowe’s site makes no mention of NOT accepting a price match on Black Friday.

I take this to read that you should definitely try to get a price match if you find a lower price at a local competitor or online.

They’ll also price match items bought at Lowe’s up to 30 days before Black Friday.

They’ll even price match online pricing PLUS warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam’s Club.

Michaels

In the weeks leading up to Black Friday, it’s good to know that Michaels will match the price of competitors on Black Friday weekend.

Items must be in-stock and identical to make it happen.

Anything bought at Michaels 7 days before Black Friday is eligible for a Black Friday price adjustment.

PetSmart

PetSmart will price match on Black Friday as long as the item is not advertised by a competitor as clearance or liquidation.

Also, they will NOT price match sale prices on Amazon or eBay listings.

As always, hold on to those receipts to make it a smooth process when requesting a price match in-store.

Petco

Similar to PetSmart, Petco is also happy to price match on Black Friday so keep an eye for a lower price from local retailers.

As for an online price match, they’ll only price match these 6 websites: Amazon.com, chewy.com, petsmart.com, walmart.com, wag.com, and target.com.

They ask you to call them at 1-877-738-6742 to request an online price match.

Bonus Retailers:

Upon further investigation it appears the following stores will also price match Black Friday pricing:

– JCPenney

There is nothing on the JCPenney price match page that says anything about NOT price matching on Black Friday so I’d definitely give it a shot this year.

As a matter of fact, buried in the boiler plate they say “we offer our price match guarantee 365 days a year, including Black Friday.”

– Macy’s

Similar case with Macy’s, they appear to price match Black Friday pricing.

Keep in mind that they only give you 10 days after your purchase to come back and get a price adjustment, so maybe don’t do your shopping at Macy’s until 10 days before Black Friday.
