Here Are All the Target Stores Closing or Already Closed

Target recently announced they’d be closing a bunch of stores citing “employee and guest” safety. In other words, due to theft and organized crime, it’s not safe, or profitable, to operate these stores anymore. Because this seems to be a growing trend, I figured it was time to keep a running list of all the Target closures so you can track if any stores in your neck-of-the woods are next on the chopping block.

So…Which Target Stores are Closing in 2023

Here is the current list of Target closures.

CALIFORNIA:

  • Oakland – Broadway & 27th: 2650 Broadway (closing October 21, 2023)
  • Pittsburg – 4301 Century Blvd. (closing October 21, 2023)
  • San Francisco – Folsom and 13th St: 1690 Folsom St (closing October 21, 2023)

MINNESOTA:

  • Minneapolis – 1300 W Lake St. (Small format store concept) (closed in May 2023)

NEW YORK:

  • Harlem – 517 E 117th Street, NY (closing October 21, 2023)

OREGON:

  • Portland Galleria – 939 SW Morrison St (closing October 21, 2023)
  • Portland Powell – 3031 SE Powell Blvd (closing October 21, 2023)
  • Portland Hollywood – 4030 NE Halsey St (closing October 21, 2023)

PENNSYLVANIA:

  • Philadelphia – City Center, 1128 Chestnut Street (closed in May 2023)

WASHINGTON:

  • Seattle Area – University Way: 4535 University Way NE (closing October 21, 2023)
  • Seattle Area – Ballard: 1448 NW Market St, Ste 100 (closing October 21, 2023)

WASHINGTON D.C. Area:

  • College Park – 7501 Baltimore Ave. in College Park, Maryland (closed in May 2023)
  • Falls Church – 500 S Washington St. in Falls Church, Virginia (closed in May 2023)

What Stores Closed in 2021 and 2022?

The following Target stores shuttered their doors in recent years.

CALIFORNIA:

  • Cupertino – 19499 Stevens Creek Blvd. (closed in June 2021)
  • San Francisco – 1830 Ocean Ave. (closed in June 2021)

FLORIDA:

  • Gainesville – 250 NW 13th St. (Small format store concept) (closed in June 2022)
