Express is a trendy clothing store known for providing fashionable apparel and accessories to both men and women. However, no matter how stylish Express clothing is, sometimes you may second-guess a purchase, or simply not like how your order purchase looks in person. If you find yourself unhappy with one or more of your Express items, fear not, there’s still a chance to return them a get your money back. Read on to learn exactly what you need to know about the Express return policy.

How Many Return Days are Allowed?

60 days.

You have up to 60 days since you purchased the item to return it as long as you have your original receipt.

Do I Need My Receipt?

Yes and no.

If you do have the original receipt of the item you are looking to return, it is important to bring it to provide proof of purchase.

However, if you lost your receipt, there is a chance for the Express staff to look up your credit card information to try and locate the proof of purchase of your specific order.

Are Any Products Not Returnable?

Yes.

Certain items are not returnable at Express.

Items NOT eligible for return at Express include:

– Items without the “Do Not Remove” tags attached.

– Final sale or clearance items, this includes items ending in .97 cents and/or items that are priced at $15 or $5.

– Face coverings.

– Worn, used, or damaged items.

Can Items Be Worn or Laundered?

No.

Items that aren’t in their original condition are unable to be returned at Express.

This includes items that have been worn, used, damaged, and washed.

What Happens If I Lost My Receipt?

You can still potentially receive a refund without a receipt at Express.

While providing proof of an original receipt (if you have it) is the way to go, if you lose your receipt there is still a chance for the Express staff to look up your purchase using the credit card information you used to purchase the item.

If the database search CAN find your purchase within the 60-day return time frame, a full refund of your purchase can be given.

However, if the database search is unable to locate your purchase using your credit card info or telephone number, you will have to settle for an exchange for an item of equal or lesser value.

Does Express Offer an Extended Holiday Return Period?

No.

Unlike many other stores that offer an extended holiday return period, it seems Express does NOT offers any sort of special holiday return period.

That being said, Express’s 60-day return time frame is already longer than the majority of other clothing stores, which are often just 30 days.

Do Online Orders Have the Same Policy?

Yes.

Online orders have the same policy as in-store purchases in terms of following the same 60-day return policy window.

Plus, the same ineligible purchases such as no returns on items without tags, clearance items, damaged items, etc. are nonreturnable online.

Likewise, in-store purchases are only eligible to be returned in-store, while online purchases can be returned EITHER in-store at your nearest Express store OR online.

Who Pays the Return Shipping Costs?

You do.

You, the customer, is responsible for paying the return shipping costs.

While you won’t necessarily have to pay any upfront shipping costs, $6.99 will be deducted from your total refund value.

Certain items can be exempt potentially from this $6.99 return shipping cost fee such as if you accidentally received an item that wasn’t what you ordered. (ie. the wrong size).

Can I Return My In-Store Purchase Online?

No.

Unfortunately, you cannot return any in-store purchases online.

However, you can return your online purchase either online or in-store.

To start an online return at Express, follow these simple steps:

1 – Start your online Express return by clicking HERE.

2 – Enter your order number and shipping zip code.

3 – Select the item you’d like to return and why.

4 – Review and make sure you’ve selected all the items you are returning.

5 – Submit your online return request.

From there, you’ll want to print your shipping label, pack your return, and drop off your package at any UPS Access point.
