Unlike other supermarket chains, Fresh Fare stores are designed to provide customers with a more convenient and often healthier shopping experience.

How Is Fresh Fare Different Than a Regular Kroger Store?

When it comes to grocery shopping, there are two main types of stores: traditional supermarkets and newer, more specialized places like Kroger Fresh Fare.

So, what’s the difference between the two?

For one, Kroger Fresh Fare is a smaller store and has more of a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s feel to it.

They’re designed to provide customers with more organic fruits and veggies, gluten-free products, ready-to-make home meals, build-your-own burrito bars, sushi bars, and even delectable pizza stations.

Think of it more like a Whole Foods Market or Sprouts where they have a wide selection of ready to eat meals.

They’re also known for their LARGE wine selection and even have free sampling events on most weekends.

Also, if you’re a coffee junkie (like me) you’ll love their large selection of Fair Trade coffee and teas, many of which are sold in bulk.

They also source many of their fruits and veggies from local growers, giving it more of a local “farmers market” feel.

Is Kroger Fresh Fare More Expensive?

One of the main objectives of Kroger Fresh Fare locations is to provide fresh foods at affordable prices.

First of all, a Fresh Fare store is definitely cheaper than Whole Foods, aka Whole Paycheck, who’s known for very expensive fruits and veggies that are marked up simply because they’ve already been cut up for you.

While Fresh Fare’s organic fruits and veggies are priced similarly to a “regular” Kroger store, they tend to stick it to you on the ready-made meals.

Similar to stores like Whole Foods, the already made meals are quite expensive as you’re paying for the convenience of not having to prep and cook once you get home from the grocery store.

But for many busy families, that’s a trade off they will gladly accept.

What is Kroger Fresh Fare’s Return Policy?

You can return most items purchased from Kroger Fresh Fare, as long as it is within the company’s policy.

According to Kroger’s return policy, you can return items within 30 days from the date of purchase for a full refund.

With that said, in order to return a product to Kroger, it must be unused and in its original condition.

In addition to this, customers will be expected to display a paper or digital receipt to receive a full refund.

However, if you don’t have a receipt, Kroger Fresh Fare will still honor your return. But instead of a refund, you’ll receive a store gift card for a value up to $10.

Since much of the food sold at Kroger Fresh Fare is fresh, it can be returned for a full refund in the event that you are unsatisfied with the quality.

Similar to other Kroger stores, Kroger Fresh Fare will honor your alcohol returns according to the state laws where the store is located in.

Can I Still Use Coupons at a Fresh Fare Store?

Yes, absolutely.

They’ll gladly accept both manufacturer and Kroger-branded coupons.

Do Fresh Fare Stores Have a Pharmacy?

Some but not all.

I was told by a Kroger rep that some Fresh Fare stores have a pharmacy, but many do not.

I’d call your local store to see if they have a pharmacy if you need a prescription filled.

Is Home Delivery Available?

Yes.

Home delivery is available with Kroger Fresh Fare.

One of the best perks of Kroger Fresh Fare is that they offer an online ordering option with home delivery.

When you take advantage of Kroger Fresh Fare’s home delivery option, you will gain access to hundreds of fresh market options delivered right to your door.

Is “Ship to Home” Available?

No.

Unfortunately, home shipping is not currently available with Kroger Fresh Fare.

This is because the site offers mainly fresh food items and as store policy, Kroger does not ship perishables to its customers.

With that said, since Kroger Fresh Fare only sells food and grocery items, there isn’t really much of a reason to order any items that need to be shipped through their website.
